Alice E. "Betty" Harbuck

Alice Elizabeth "Betty" Harbuck of Little Rock died December 5, 2010. She was born in Little Rock July 23, 1929 to the late Dr. Wilbur F. and Isabelle Moore Barrier of Malvern, Arkansas. She graduated from Malvern High School, Ward Belmont College, Nashville, Tenn., the University of Arkansas the the University of Tennessee Medical Technology. She married her high school sweetheart, Milton, in Malvern on November 27, 1952 and resided in Malvern, where Milton practiced dentistry, until 1966 when they moved to North Little Rock, Sherwood and then to Parkway Village in Little Rock in 2005. Betty was a long time active member of Indian Hills Church where she worked with bed babies for 15 years. She also was a leader in Bible Study Fellowship as well as Children's Leader. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Milton Harbuck, daughter Lucy Gist, and her husband, Steve, of Ft. Smith, son, Joe Barrier Harbuck and his wife, Janis, of Jonesboro, four grandsons, Jeff (Elizabeth), Joel and John Gist of Ft. Smith, Carter and granddaughter, Martha Harbuck of Jonesboro as well as a brother, Wilbur F. Barrier and his wife, Betty, of Tampa, Fla., one niece Jane Barrier Mullins of Tampa, Fla. and a nephew, Bill Barrier, and his wife, Lucy, of Boston, Mass. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday at Indian Hills Church, 6801 JFK Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 with Rev. Dick King, officiating. Entombment will follow at Rest Hills Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. this evening (Tuesday) at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th. Street, Little Rock, (501) 661-9111.
