Nancy Arlene Carter, 70, of Searcy, formerly of Hot Springs Village, died Monday, December 6. She was born August 28, 1940, in Knightstown, Indiana, the daughter of Clarence and Dolores Trimnell. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Searcy and was an active member of the Celiac Sprue Support Group. Nancy enjoyed helping others and spending time with her family and friends. She was retired from the Selected Funeral and Life Insurance Company of Hot Springs. Nancy is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Rick Creamer of Shreveport, and Annette and Scotty Parker of Searcy; two brothers, Ronald Trimnell and Norman Hill and a sister, Marjorie Brammer, all of Indiana; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Joy Sparks Graves. A memorial service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Searcy. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the Powell Funeral Home of Searcy.
