Betty Jo Stanley, 75, of Mount Ida, died Thursday, December 9, 2010. She was born August 1, 1935, in Mena, the daughter of Russell and Mary Alice Brown Bates. On June 20, 1953, she was married to G.W. Stanley who preceded her in death on April 30, 2008.
She is survived by her son, James Stanley of Mount Ida; her daughter, Jolene Harrison and husband, Don, of New Blaine, Arkansas; her stepson, Mitch Stanley and wife, Ruthie, of Hot Springs; her grandchildren, Jason Ray and wife, Kelly, of Charlotte, North Carolina and Betsy Dukat and husband, Mike, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and her great-granddaughter, Ella Brooks Ray of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, in the Stanley-Standridge Cemetery with Bro. Paul Burke officiating, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Visitation will be Saturday, 2-4 p.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dale Craig, Stanley Craig, Jerry McNabb, Paul Roberts, Richard Jeffus and Randall Dickerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Dickerson, Jimmy New, Ben Shields, Mike Roy and the nurses and staff of Arkansas Hospice.
