Beatrice Jewell Buntyn

Beatrice Jewell Buntyn passed away on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010. She was born April 21, 1916 in Coldwater, Miss., to the late Mary Jewell. She was an outstanding cook, homemaker, and gardener, but most of all, she was known for her ability to organize and to be organized. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Buntyn, and grandson, Ramon Brown. She is survived by her son, Dr. Roosevelt Brown; his wife, Irma Hunter Brown; one granddaughter, Rosetta Brown Coleman (Kevin); three great-grandchildren, Railen, Raga, and Kaivyn; a host of other relatives, friends and her church family to whom she was devoted. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Greater Archview Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at 10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Care Link or to the Youth Department at Greater Archview Baptist Church. Interment will be in Paradise Gardens Cemetery in Edmondson, Ark.
