Clifford Lee Young

Clifford Lee Young, 82, of Hot Springs Village died peacefully in his home on Dec. 9, 2010, following a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was born in Little Rock, Ark., on Dec. 25, 1927, to the late Noah Young and Pearl Hall Young. Clifford was a respected businessman who retired after 25 years with Pet, Inc. in St. Louis. He enjoyed golf, bridge, and model ship building and was a skilled counted cross-stitch artist. Clifford was an active charter member of Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruth Phelan Young of Hot Springs Village; daughters, Robin Lynn Young of Hot Spring County, Janet Ruth Hazelbaker and husband, Kim of Fairfax, Va.; grandchildren, Mike Hazelbaker and Lisa Owings (husband, Mike); great-grandchild, Indiana Owings all of Arlington, Va.; aunt, LaVerne Moseley of Little Rock. Memorial service will be held on Dec. 17, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church missions fund. Arrangements by Caruth Village Funeral Home.
