Lila Hill

Lila Hill, 93, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Baptist Health in Stuttgart. She was born in Holly Grove on Nov. 15, 1917, to Walter Page and Lillie Bowden Page. She had been a resident of Clarendon for 45 years, coming there from Holly Grove. She was a nurse, working for Dr. Stone and for Holly Grove Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Joe S. Fisher; one son, Bobby Fisher; two sisters, Mable Murtishaw and Kathlene Minchew. She is survived by her husband, Harold Hill of Clarendon; one son, Kenneth Fisher and wife, Brenda of North Little Rock; one daughter, Carolyn Rogers and husband, Jesse of Clarendon; one sister, Nadine Malone of Clarendon; six grandchildren, Mark Rogers (Laura), Joe Fisher (Amy), Donna Smiley (Henry), Kristi Monk (Joe), Jeff Rogers and Lynn Rogers; six great-grandchildren, Kenny Rogers, Kristen Rogers, Colin Fisher, Garrett Fisher, Blake Chapman and Cade Smiley; and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Fisher of Little Rock. Funeral services will be Sunday, Dec. 13, 2010, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Clarendon, with Rev. Judy Clark officiating. Donna Fisher Smiley will give the eulogy. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Holly Grove, Ark., by Brown Funeral Home of Clarendon. Pallbearers are Lynn Rogers, Mark Rogers, Jeff Rogers, Blake Chapman, Kenny Rogers, and Jimmy Murtishaw.
