Marjorie Rachel Carman

Marjorie Rachel Carman, 93, of Searcy, formerly of Memphis, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010. She was born April 14, 1917 a daughter of the late Joel and Minnie Robinson Carpenter. She was retired from Sears and was a member of the Westside Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Wood (Tom) of Judsonia; grandchildren, Tommy Wood of Judsonia and Jane Ellen Wood (Todd) of Springdale, Ark.; great-grandchildren, Payton, Caroline, Claire and Mason Wood all of Springdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carman. Visitation will be on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 from 3-5 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. A service will be held Monday, Dec. 13, 2010 at 12 noon at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis with entombment to follow.
