Our Mother, Reba Darlene Bynum went to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 11th, 2010. She was born March 23rd, 1924 in Johnson Chapel, Arkansas to Bill Mitchell and Tera Jane Mitchell Toddy. She was married to the late, Rev. Luther C. Bynum and they shared a wonderful life until his death in February of 1973. After working as a nurse for 26 years, at Baptist Health, she retired in April of 1989. She was a long time member of Highway Baptist Church and taught Sunday School Class for many years. She was never happier than when she was working in the yard and could make anything grow and flourish. People often stopped and asked for a cutting of her flowers. She loved the Lord, her family and she loved to cook. Her greatest joy was giving the food she cooked to her friends and family. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Osborne and Carole Davis (Gerald) all of Cabot; four grandchildren, Steve Shackelford (Marsha) of Jacksonville, Kevin Davis (Wendy) of Hensley, Robin Oliver (Kenny) of Oakland,TN and Terri Davis of Jacksonville; three great-grandchildren, John, Eli, and Owen; two brothers, Jack Toddy (Mary) of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, Johnny Marvin Mitchell (Brenda) of Bradford; and two sisters, Billie Davidson and Barbara Orr (Dale) of Bradford. We would like to thank Mary Brown of Hospice for her kindness and care shown during mother's illness. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December, 15th, 2010 at Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Memorial Park with Bro. Fred Reddoch officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock (501) 835-3515.
