Virginia Speer

Virginia Speer, 90, of Little Rock died Sunday, December 12, 2010. She was born on February 20, 1920 at Newark, Ohio, a daughter of James and Louella Sherwood Hupp. She was a retired elementary school teacher for Montgomery County School District in Maryland, was a longtime resident of Washington, D.C., and retired in Little Rock to be close to family. Her passion was traveling throughout the world, a passion that continued to the end of her life. She is survived by two nephews, James Hupp of Struthers, Ohio and Robert Hupp of Little Rock; and a niece, Cathy Hupp of Youngstown, Ohio; four great-nephews, James, Dillon, William and Spencer Hupp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Speer; two brothers, James and Robert Hupp and her parents.
