Mildred "Millie" Aline Harris

Mildred "Millie" Aline Harris age 83, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010 in Heber Springs, Ark. She was born Jan. 1, 1927 to Jesse and Hilda Sanders in Brinkley, Ark. She was a consumer affairs representative in the state of California filling roles with the state highway patrol, automotive division, and finally as a consumer affairs representative of the medical board in California. She was very active in the community of Heber Springs, serving as a volunteer with the Humane Society, the 4-H club, volunteer extension homemakers, also very involved with her church as a member of the First Presbyterian Church serving as a deacon, and clerk of the session, a member of the Red Hat Society, volunteered with Cleburne County Cares, a member of KOPS, a member of the Cleburne county fair board, and most recently on Nov. 10, 2010 was proclaimed as Millie Harris Day in Cleburne County. She is survived by one son, Michael Mervin Flick Sr. and wife Linda of Glendale, Calif.; six grandchildren, Michael M. Flick Jr. and wife Bobbie Shewmaker, Pamela Ann Flick and husband Steve, Patrick James Flick, Jason Robert Reynolds-Flick, Jeremy Alexander Reynolds-Flick, Tony Michalich and wife Martha. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Hilda Sanders. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Heber Springs, Ark.
