Dorothy M. Holmes

Dorothy M. Holmes, 75, of Stuttgart, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010. She was a retired greeter at Wal-Mart after 19 years and she was a member of the Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Melvin Williams; sister, Mildred Walloch, and a brother, Kenneth Williams. She is survived by her husband, Alvin Holmes; one daughter, Valarie Underwood and husband, Joe of Truman, Arkansas; sister, Carlotta Jo Williams of Hazen; two granddaughters, Courtney Chapman and Heather Underwood and three great-grandchildren, Morgan Osment, Claire Chapman, and Lauren Chapman. Visitation will be Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 3 to 5 p.m., at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart. Burial will be in the Hazen Cemetery.
