Lois Virginia Pollard

Lois Virginia Pollard, 80, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010. She was born April 1, 1930 in Manila, Arkansas a daughter of the late Louis Edward and Florence Black Riddick. She was retired from General Industries in Bald Knob and was a member of the New Bethel General Baptist Church. Mrs. Pollard was the reigning queen of Byrdhaven Nursing Home and recently placed 2nd in the District Pageant in Jacksonville. She enjoyed fishing and quilting. Survivors: Husband, Rex Pollard; sons, Terry Crosby of Flint, Michigan and Mike Crosby of Tennessee; daughters, Brenda Western of Bald Knob, Linda Crosby of Chowchilla, California, Regenia McQuiston of Durand, Michigan and Susie Griffin of Bald Knob; sister, Laverne Morgan of Osceola; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Wayne Crosby, four brothers, a sister and a grandson, Joseph Griffin. Visitation: Monday 6-8 p.m. Services: Tuesday, December 21, 2010, 2 p.m. at the New Bethel General Baptist Church.
