David Lee Fisher

Mr. David Fisher, 68, of Newport departed this life on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 at Newport. He was born on Monday, Dec. 14, 1942 in Newport, the son of Ralph and Agnes Rutledge Fisher. Mr. Fisher owned and operated Fisher's Service Station for over 40 years in Newport. He was a member of Northside Church of Christ and Twin Bluff's Hunting Club. Mr. Fisher enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt track and Nascar racing, spending time with his grandchildren and watching their sporting events. Mr. Fisher is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife, Linda; three sons, Bryan Fisher and wife Rachael of Sulphur Rock, Alan Fisher and wife Candy of Tuckerman, and Jonathan Fisher and wife Angela of Searcy; four brothers, Hugh Fisher of Newport, Harold Dean Fisher of Newport, Marcus Fisher of Diaz, and Ralph Fisher Jr. of Newport; five sisters, Delois Honey of Newport, Pauline Sutherland of Newport, Lutricia Lucas of Southbend, Ind., Janas Gates of Newport, and Sue Wright of El Dorado; six grandchildren, Hannah Fisher, Austin Fisher, Ethan Clegg, Nicholas Fisher, Lee Fisher, and Addyson Fisher; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be 2, Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Watson Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8.
