BETTY JEWEL BROWN (BRUTON), 83, passed away on Dec. 18, 2010. She was born Oct. 22, 1927 in Jerusalem, Ark., to Edgar and Tora Bruton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Bernard Bruton, Thomas Bruton and Don Bruton; her husband, William O. Brown; and her precious daughter, Judy K. Hunter. She is survived by four children, Kathy Cullum (Bill), Billy Brown (Delores) and Susan Standridge (Lesley) of North Little Rock and Michael Brown (Linda) of Little Rock; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brown retired from Baptist Medical Center (Memorial Hospital) after 28 years of service as a certified nursing assistant. She was a member of the Church of Christ and spent her entire life caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and countless others. She will forever be in our hearts as "mama." Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Atkins City Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Lemley Funeral Chapel in Atkins.
