Delois "Grandma" Mills

DELOIS "GRANDMA" MILLS, 76, of Jacksonville died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010. She was born Nov. 5, 1934 in McRae to the late Jessie L. and Reverend Mae Mason Pipkins. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, fishing and dominoes. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Harold Glen Pipkins. Mrs. Mills is survived by her husband Joe Mills of Jacksonville, her daughter, Elvie L. McKinney of Jacksonville, two granddaughters, Brandi Hicks and Crystal Chivers as well as three great-grandchildren, Jacob and Ethan Hicks and Payton Chivers. She is also survived by three brothers, Harley, Lester and Arlen Pipkins and two sisters, Ruth Wyatt and Mable Hooper. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 in the chapel of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Ben Trickey and C. B. Wilson officiating.
