Mildred Grisham

Mrs. Mildred "Mickey" Brown Grisham, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Aiken, S.C., with the Rev. Dr. Eddie Leopard officiating. Interment will take place in Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway, Ark., on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. Mrs. Grisham was born in Little Rock, Ark., a daughter of the late James Fenner Brown and Alma Dyson Brown Murray. She was a former resident of Jefferson County, Ark., and Conway, Ark., and made Aiken, S.C., her home since 2000. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church where she volunteered in the church office and taught Sunday School. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two daughters, Carole M. Smith, Aiken, S.C., Rev. Dr. Nancy Grisham, Wheaton, Ill.; a grandson, C. David Martindale; great-grandchildren, Grisham, Alexandria, Miah Blue and Weslyn Bernard; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, James "Buzz" Brown, Beaumont, Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Carroll Grisham; her granddaughter, Melissa M. Bernard; and by a sister and a brother. The family has requested that memorials be sent to Livin' Ignited, P.O. Box 1233, Wheaton, Ill., 60187, in lieu of flowers.
