Tommie Sue Chumley

Tommie Sue (Shipp) Chumley, 64, of Conway, Ark., lost her long battle with cancer and passed away Thursday, Dec. 16. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Alline Shipp, sisters Lou Bell and Oleta McMurray and daughter Tina Hervol. Mrs. Chumley graduated from Corner High School in Warrior, Ala., and retired from the Faulkner County Sheriffs office where she worked as office manager for many years. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years Joe Chumley, her children Jay McCoy (Crystal), Craig Chumley (Alicia), Kelly Chumley (Cheri), Erik Chumley (Dawn), Amy Chumley; 27 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters Ruby Bender, Lee Reid (Alvin), Enola Chappell (Fred), Mary Ann Nethery (Sidney), Deloris Donegan; brother Earl Shipp (Doris), brother-in-law John Bell; mother-in-law Jackie Chumley; sister-in-law Judy Frerk. She was a wonderful wife, nana, sister and friend who was loved by all. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Ave., North Little Rock, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Arkansas Hospice Foundation.
