William Travis "Pud" Carrington

William Travis "Pud" Carrington, 73, of Cabot died Monday, December 20, 2010. He was born April 25, 1937 in Jacksonville to the late William Frank and Lytha Langley Carrington. Mr. Carrington was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, an avid fisherman and Razorback fan, was a referee for high school football and basketball and a youth baseball umpire. He traveled around the country in a motor home to all but two states but the highlights of his life were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carrington was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Langley. Mr. Carrington is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Rye Carrington, his two children, Larry Carrington (Sandy) of Hot Springs and Tracey Prather (Alan) of Texarkana, Texas as well as a brother, L.C. "Jack" Carrington (Betty) of Cabot. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jason Carrington of Conway, Jessica Carrington of Hot Springs, Andrew Converse and Savannah Prather both of Texarkana, Texas and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jenna Carrington. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Mount Carmel Cemetery with Brothers Ben Leonard and Tom Lafeur officiating.
