Rowena Carolyn "Cissie" Damon

Rowena Carolyn "Cissie" Damon, 76 of Imboden passed away Dec. 23, 2010 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born on Feb. 1, 1934 near the levee of the Mississippi River at Huffman, Ark. She is survived by Bob Damon, her husband of 55 years; three children, Rodney Damon of Little Rock, Carmen Dunning of Imboden, and James Damon of Pocahontas; her brother, Larry Hughes of Tishamingo Miss.; four sisters, Barbara Jinkins of Bradford, Tenn., Juanita Hannon of Blytheville, Bonita Hughes of Springdale, and Laura Lynn of Rector; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and countless friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by hey mother and father, Reginald and Lousie Hughes of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Richard Hughes of Huffman and Mike Hughes of Jackson, Tenn., her sister Regina Warrington of McKenzie, Tenn. and her great-granddaughter, Emma Gale Noblitt of Greenbriar. A loving mother and grandmother who possessed a most blessed personality; she touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all. Services will be held in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 1p.m., burial to follow in Hope Cemetery.
