Lucille Sparkman Bettis, 91, of Fayetteville died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 in Fayetteville. She was born Aug. 22, 1919 in Guy, Ark., the daughter of Marvin and Flora Bell Lane Sparkman. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ where she taught Bible class and Vacation Bible School. She was a beautician for 33 years. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Bettis, to whom she married April 29, 1942, grandson, Seth Adams and brother, T.J. Sparkman. She is survived by her daughters, Becky Harris and husband, Mike of Little Rock and Barbara Adams and husband, Gary of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Alicia Wood and husband, John, Adana Buttrum and husband, Anthony, Hannah TeBeest and husband, Jason and Colby Adams and wife, Emily; nine great-grandchildren, Addi, Dillon, Ayden Wood, Aubrey, Zeke Buttrum, McKinley, Grant TeBeest and Abigail, Will Adams. Funeral Services 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at Geyer Springs Church of Christ with Mr. Bill Laird officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at the church. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery in Alexander.
