Mable Ruth Denton

Mrs. Mable Ruth Denton (Mother Dear), 75, of Pine Bluff, departed on Thursday Dec. 23, 2010. Born July 10, 1935 in England, Ark., to the late Isaac Peoples and Fannie Young Wheeler. She was employed at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center as a nurse for 28 years in pediatrics. Her husband, Willie Lee Denton and a son, Calvern Reed, preceded her in death. Remaining family members include three daughters, Edith (Aubrey) Wine of Detroit, Mich., Yvette Goldmon of Little Rock, and Yvonne Denton of Pine Bluff; one son, Gregory R. Denton of Mesquite, Texas; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a niece, Audrey V. Frasure of Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Rose Hill Missionary Church with the Reverend G.L. Ford officiating. Interment will be at the Little Rock National Cemetery. Visitation in Monday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the P.K. Miller Mortuary. Mrs. Denton will lie in repose from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Online register: www.pkmillermortuary.com.
