Sharon Woods Gilliam of Leola, Ark., went to heaven to be with her Lord on Dec. 24, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents Ada Louise and James Robert Woods, brother Roy Milton Woods, sisters Aileen Hicks and Joan Bulman. Also she was preceded by her youngest son Mitchell Edward Gilliam. She is survived by her husband of 51 ½ years, Melvin R. Gilliam Sr., and children: Sherry Gilliam Mays and husband Moe Mays of League City, Texas, and Melvin R. Gilliam Jr., of Arlington, Texas. Also by grandchildren which she was known as "Mam-maw" to: Matthew Mays, Melissa Mays Tittle and husband James, Mason Mays and fiancé Melissa Nicole Williams, Melody Gilliam, Shannon Gilliam, Megan Gilliam, and Ashley Gilliam. She was also mother-in-law to Liz Gilliam Wright and Sherry Lynn Boyd . Survived by brother J.T. Woods and his wife Anna Jean from Mountain Home, Ark., sister Winnie Lee Smithers and her husband Bobby Earl, North Little Rock, Ark., brother Max Woods and his wife Alicia from Hobbs, N.M., brother Bobby Woods and his wife Linda of Bauxite, Ark., brother, Carroll Woods and his wife Brenda of Malvern, Ark., and Donna Zietlow and her husband David, of El Cajon, Calif. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at Benton Funeral Home with Rev.
