Joan "Tex" Bennett Paladino, age 72, of Plumerville, Ark., passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010. She was born Dec. 24, 1937 in Kennett, Mo., a daughter of Joseph James Bennett and Elva Amanda Scroggins Bennett. She was a respiratory therapist and of the Christian faith. Survivors include her husband, Ed Paladino of Plumerville; daughters, Pam Hardin (John) and Sherry McMorrough all of Morrilton; brother, Bobby Bennett of Plumerville; sisters, Alidean Malone of Plumerville; Shirley Gunderman and Margaret Lanni both of Morrilton; grandchildren, Jaime Cato (Sharon), Joey Edwards, Matthew McMorrough, and Casey McMorrough; great-grandchildren, Logan Hardin, Carson Cato, and Hunter McMorrough; special friends, Burt McMorrough and Victor Varnado. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at Harris Chapel with her great-nephew, Jeff McMorrough and Bro. Von Dell Mooney officiating.
