Vivian L. Watkins

Vivian L. Watkins, age 84, of Camden, Ark. was born July 29, 1926 in Truman, Ark. and passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Silver Oaks. She married George O. Watkins on February 9, 1946. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church in Camden and retired from Ouachita County Hospital as a LPN and continued her nursing career at a local nursing home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchum and Mary Greene; and sisters, Ollie Smith and Jeanetta McClain. She is survived by her husband, George Watkins; daughters, Paige Wood and husband, Jim of Camden, Ark. and Twyla Gossler and husband, Greg of Farmerville, La; granddaughter, Jamie Wood of Camden, Ark.; grandson, Robby Bell of Texarkana; brother, Ralph Greene and wife, Carolyn of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; sisters, Margaret Purvis of Des Arc, Ark. and Shirley Sullivan of Ashdown, Ark.; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Proctor Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillside Baptist Church in Camden, Cullendale First Baptist Church in Camden or Mt. Union Baptist Church in Spearsville, La.
