Thomas Eugene Dennis

Thomas Eugene Dennis, 77, of Little Rock, died Dec. 27, 2010. He was born Feb. 19, 1933, in Magnolia, Ark., the son of Sidney Eugene and Claudia Williamson Dennis. He was a graduate of Magnolia High School and Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a degree in agricultural engineering. He was employed for 36 years by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service, with assignments in the Hamburg, Lake Village and Little Rock offices. He was Assistant State Conservationist for Watershed Resources when he retired in 1990. He was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Bobbye H. Dennis; two sons, Robert E. Dennis of Little Rock and James T. Dennis of Memphis, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Lindsey Dennis, Sidney Dennis, Thomas Dennis and Pearson Dennis. Visitation is planned for 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501) 224-8300. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, with Rev. Lynn Lindsey officiating. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
