Carthel Leon Healy, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born June 27, 1930, to Evert and Annie (Yeates) Healy, and he died Wednesday, December 29, 2010. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. Carthel was a master electrician for over 50 years and minister of the Church of Christ for over 60 years. He was a loving and caring man who adored all children and his family. As a baseball coach, he touched the lives of many of the young boys in this community doing what he loved to do. He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Healy; daughters Becky Pittman, Marsha Sparrow, Karen (Mark) Padgett, Pam (Ricky) White, and Amber (Allen) Fike; grandchildren, Ren (Stephanie) Pittman, Michelle Campbell, Ricky (Brandi) White II, Tara (Chuck) Thomas, Dacia (Lee) McFalls, Ryan Sparrow, Allen Fike and Austin Fike; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild due in July; two sisters, Betty (Billy) Sanders and Eva (John) Burrus; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
