Robert Louis Wiley

Robert Louis Wiley of Little Rock, Ark. was born March 18, 1938 to James Edward Wiley Sr. and Louis Hightower Wiley (both preceded him in death). He grew up as a member of the Reed Memorial CME Church. Robert passed away December 23, 2010 in Kaiser Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Robert was a minor league umpire and an outstanding hunter/fisherman. He returned annually to Burtsell, Arkansas to go deer and rabbit hunting. He had a special craftsmanship for building and remodeling homes. He enjoyed careers as Property Clerk for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department and Supervisor with the Unified School District Transportation Department. He leaves to cherish his memory: a son, Eric Wiley; his dear lifetime companion, Clearese Young; two brothers, Harvey (Ruby) and Savoy (Edna); two sisters, Lee Etta (Ted) and Thelma; and a host of nieces and nephews. His brothers, James Jr. and Merrell; and sister, Leola preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held Monday, January 3, 2010, 10:30 a.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Chester St., LR (501) 372-1305. Interment will follow at Rome Cemetery, Burtsell, Arkansas.
