Glenda R. Rudder, 77, of Bryant, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010. She was born December 4, 1933, in Bald Knob, Arkansas, the youngest daughter of Manola and Luther Rash. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Col. William R. Rudder; two daughters, Nanci Kelley and husband John of Bryant, and Frances Sanders and husband Boogie of Traskwood; four grandchildren, Megan Kelley, Summer Sanders, William Clay Kelley and Cory Sanders; three sisters, Neva Johnston of Searcy, Vera Barker and husband John of Pleasant Plains, and Donna Smith and husband Calvin of Hope; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis Rash, Alvis Rash and Hudson Rash. Glenda was a charter member of Bryant Order of Eastern Star, a member of Congo Order of Eastern Star, and a teacher/member of Violette Johnson Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church of Bryant. She was a retired registered nurse after 33 years of service at the V.A. Medical System. Special thanks to the loving care given to her by Becky Wilson. Thank you to Kristi Kinchen and the staff of Saline Memorial Hospice for all the loving care shown to Glenda. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2011, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander (501-455-1067). Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011, at the funeral home with Rev. Todd-Paul R. Taulbee and Pastor Horace Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Bryant, 508 N.
