Joan Stricklin Ray

Joan Stricklin Ray, 75, of Austin died Wednesday, June 30, 2010. She was born March 7, 1935 in Harrisburg, Arkansas to the late Velmer and Belle George Stricklin. She was retired from the IRS in Memphis, Tennessee. She attended Cabot United Methodist Church and enjoyed taking care of her family. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles Ray; daughter Randye Dill (Eddie) of Cabot; son, Kevin Ray also of Cabot; two brothers, Henry Stricklin and Dennis Stricklin; 3 sisters, Geraldine Barnes, Jimmie Parker, and Sandra Adams; two granddaughters, Jessica South and Kari Ray; two grandsons, Samuel Simmons and Nolan Dill and two great granddaughters. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 2, 2010 at Cabot United Methodist Church with Minister Herbert L. Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
