Betty Maxine Summerford Rhodes Murry

Monticello, AR, 1930 - 2010

Betty Maxine Summerford Rhodes Murry, went home to be with her Lord, June 30, 2010 at the age of 80. She was born April 15, 1930 in Monticello. She was the widow of John Murry and was the daughter of the late Monty "Bud" and Eula Mae Sivils Summerford.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Danny Rhodes, one granddaughter, Annissa McGill, one grandson, Tim Rhodes, two brothers, James Odell and John David Summerford, one sister, Mary Ilene Durmon. She retired from Burlington Industries and was a former Wal-Mart employee. She was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Monticello.
Survivors include one son, Harry Rhodes Jr. of Sherwood, Ark.; four daughters, Dolly Farmer of Monticello; Becky Maloney (Ed) of Lafayette, La., Diana Abney (Tim) of Sherwood, Deborah Reeves (Wesley) of Allis, Ark.; two step-sons, David Murray (Jeaneen) and Rickey Murry (Mary), all of Monticello; one step-daughter, Marsha Mann (Steve) of Warren; two sisters, Dorsey Marcussen and Molly Flemister (Larry), all of Monticello; two sisters-in-law, Christine Summerford and Olive Summerford; 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 3 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel, with burial in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
