James Warren Perry

James Warren Perry, 69, departed this life on July 2, 2010. He was born Oct. 4, 1940 in North Little Rock and grew up in the Rose City area where he played sports and fished with his family. Jimmy was a superb athlete and received a college basketball scholarship. He worked for Olin Chemical Company and served in the National Guard. He always remained a sports fan and was a natural at winning cards, slots, and games. Jimmy was a devoted son, brother, and friend. He later became a loving husband, father, uncle and granddad. He made us laugh and we will miss his sense of humor and funny stories. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, William Oscar Perry and Lola Lee Otey; his big brother, William Parker Perry; and his loving wife of 29 years, Chrystella Joyce Perry. Jim is survived by his brother, John H. Perry and wife, Sherry; his son, Michael Warren Perry and wife, Traci; his stepdaughter, Valerie Henley and husband, Bruce; his stepson, David Eaton; his granddaughters, Heather and Ashlea Worsham; and his grandsons, Brian and Matthew Eaton. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, July 6, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. (501-791-7400).
