Melvina "Mom" Porter

MELVINA "MOM" PORTER, age 83, of Little Rock, died Saturday. "Mom" is survived by one sister, Hazel Langsford of Pine Bluff, Ark.; children, Jessie James Sykes (Emma) and Viola Lee Mansfield, of Little Rock, Ark., Linda Mansfield Edozie and Mottiece Mansfield of Fredricksburg, Va. She was preceded in death by children, Susan Edwards, Lovie McClure and Brenda Jackson. Also cherishing their memories of this wonderful and loving woman are 20 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews and friends that she has loved and nurtured through her 83 years. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Watson-Northcrest Funeral Home, 1801 Maple Street, North Little Rock, Ark. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sweet Home Cemetery, Prescott, Ark.
