Harold Wimberly

Benton, AR

Harold W. Wimberly, age 86, of Benton, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010. He was born April 21, 1924, in Grubbs, Ark. Mr. Wimberly worked for Curtis Mathes and a few years with the Benton School District. He was a W.W. II Army Veteran and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Benton. Mr. Wimberly was preceded in death by his parents, A. A. and Myrtis Pauline Prysock Wimberly and two brothers, Wesley and Walter Wimberly. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Marie Zinn Wimberly of Benton; two daughters, Sherry King and husband Al of Benton and Diane Williams and husband Terry of Bryant; three sisters, Louise Burton of Benton, Lavonne Cook of Benton and Bobbie Atherley of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Bert King and wife Sandra, Clay King and wife Sarah, Amanda Ballew and husband Brandon and Lori Williams; three great-grandchildren, Lilli King, Marleigh King and Hunter Ballew and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bert King, Clay King, Brandon Ballew, Jesse Bradshaw, David Roberts and Frank Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Bible Class at First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 6 at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery. Rev.
