Brady Smith, age 30,of Bryant, died July 4th from complications of a brain aneurysm. Brady was a kind soul who could repair almost anything, and he was swaddled in music from birth. One could hear music long before his car ever arrived, then he would sit in the car and wait until a song finished, even if he had heard it a hundred times. He is survived by his mother, Carol Anne Cullum; father, Ronald Smith (Debbie); sisters, Laura Woodall and Amy Owen; brothers, Robert Smith and Mike Fox; step-children, Jessie, Danielle and Kevin Blackwell; grandparents, Paul and Mona Shaw, and Dorothy Smith; step-father Clay Cullum; nephew Drew Patton; nieces Courtney Patton, Alexis Woodall, Hannah Owen, Olivia Owen; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Layton Pinkston and Clyde Smith. While he departed far too young, in his lifetime Brady lived, laughed and loved, so let any tears shed for him be joyful. Brady was an organ donor, and it is his family's hope and pride that he can live on in the lives of those he helped. Please join his family in celebration of his life at visitation on Thursday, July 8, 5:30-7:30 p.m., and funeral service on Friday, July 9, 10 a.m., at Ashby Funeral Home, 108 W. Narroway Street, Benton, Ark., with jeans or casual attire for both events. Burial will be at Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Autism Speaks (www.autismspeaks.org/donate), in honor of Brady on behalf of his cousin, Sam Bryant. The family would like to give heartfelt gratitude to Dr. S. Keyrouz, Dr. J. Dowdy, and other doctors, therapists and nurses of UAMS Critical Care Unit E for their loving care and compassion during Brady's hospitalization.
