Jack Beckham Hinkle, age 83, of Mountain View passed away in his home on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. He was born on Sept. 23, 1926 in Mountain View to the late Sam Houston Hinkle and Alpha Beckham Hinkle. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Jo Moore and granddaughter, Ann Elizabeth Webb Medlock. Jack was the owner of Jack's White River Fishing Resort, an avid hunter and sportsman. Winter months were spent fishing in Zihuatanejo, Mexico with his good friends Jim and Lorene Wingard. Jack loved life and loved people. His greatest joy was his family, close friends, and the multitude of friends who fished at the resort--everyone was like family. He never met a stranger and was willing to share with anyone in need. He attended Mountain View High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hale Hayden Hinkle; two daughters, Pam Glover and husband Eddie of Conway and Jo Mitchell and husband Mike of Mountain View; grandchildren, Kristen Riddle and husband Jeremy of Greenbrier, Sam Glover and wife Lacy of Conway, Eddie Jack Mitchell and wife Brittney of Mountain View, Brad Medlock of Sherwood and niece Mary Beth Thomas of Mtn. View; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hayden Medlock, Payton, Preston & Sydney Riddle, Ava Mitchell, Kate Glover and great-nieces Julie Post and Catherine Jarrett. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 10, 2010 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Ed Matthews and Rev. Ron Newberry officiating. Burial will follow at Flatwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2010 at Roller Crouch Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Eddie Jack Mitchell, Sam Glover, Jeremy Riddle, Brad Medlock, Eddie Glover and Mike Mitchell.
