Billie Jean O'Quin

Billie Jean Hill O'Quin passed away on July 9, 2010. She was born in Little Rock, Ark. on Nov. 14, 1920 to Arthur B. and Mary (Lakenan) Hill. After graduation from Little Rock High School in 1939 she attended Draughon's Businesss College for two years. During WWII she joined the newly founded women's division of the U. S. Navy as a member of the WAVES. She married Gerrel Eugene O'Quin in 1942. After retirement in 1981 from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, she attended Bible Study Fellowship for five years, followed by Community Bible Study. In Arkansas, her church membership was the Bible Church of Little Rock. Upon moving to Texas in 1995, she found the McKinney Bible Church. She is survived by her two daughters, Jane Ellen and husband, Lawrence Cadoret, and Joyce A. Main; granddaughter, Lori and husband, Mark Cross; granddaughter Ashley Davenport; niece, Mary Ruth Benjamin and nephew, Dr. A. Henry Thomas; great grandsons, Aaron Vega and Spencer Cross. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel, 219 W. Sam Rayburn Dr., Bonham, Texas with Reverend Craig Nelson officiating. Burial will be held at 12 p.m. noon on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kelsey Fuqua Memorial Fund, c/o McKinney Bible Church, 501 S. Graves St., McKinney, Texas 75069.
