Clayton Dewayne McGarrah

Clayton "Clayboy" Dwayne McGarrah, age 20, of Harrison, died on July 4, 2010, in Arghandab River Valley, Afghanistan. Clayton was assigned to the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, N.C. and was killed during active duty in Afghanistan. Clayton was the son of Orville "Bo" and Michele Schermerhorn McGarrah who enjoyed 18 years of active parenting and adventure with their son before entering the the service. Beside his parents, Clayton is survived by his wife Emily O'Brien McGarrah; two sisters, Elizabeth Hanson and Emilie McGarrah; one brother, James who he loved to hang with and attend Razorback games; grandparents, Barbara Bell, Johnnie Schermerhorn-Ren, Dr. Tom and Kim Bell, Orville Edward and Suzanna McGarrah and a host of other family and friends. Services with Full Military Honors will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Faith Assembly of God Church in Harrison with burial in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
