Raymond E. Harrison, 75, of Mayflower, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the Hospice Home Care Inpatient Unit, Little Rock. He was born June 28, 1935, in Ward, Arkansas, a son of the late Owen E. and Odie Esther (Baker) Harrison. Mr. Harrison was a retired Technical Communicator for J.A. Riggs Tractor Company and was a Christian of the Baptist faith. He had a great love for his wife, children and grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison were members of the Conway Two-steppers for years, and enjoyed Boot Scooting. Raymond had said it was something just for he and his wife. He was an avid quail hunter, and crappie fisherman. As a father, his children remember how he led and taught them by example. He was also a United States Army Veteran. Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Barbara Ann (Jackson) Harrison of Mayflower; his children, Curtis Jeffrey Harrison and wife, Marci of Conway; Sheila Ann Smart and husband Bryan of Traskwood; grandchildren, Morgan McCoy Stockton, Taylor Alayne and Ava Pearl Harrison, Tyler Harrison Smart; sisters, Emogene Tindall and husband Charles of North Little Rock; Shirley Summerhill and husband Jim of Rison; Carolyn Hoover of Little Rock; along with a number of nephews and nieces. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral will be 12 noon, Wednesday, in the chapel of Roller-Drummond Funeral Home in Little Rock, with Bro. Paul Rice officiating.
