Thomas Howard Beck, 81, of Little Rock, died July 10, 2010. He was born May 22, 1929 in Little Rock, the son of Stanley Charles and Edna May Requa Beck. He was a Navy veteran of the post World War II era. A retired postal clerk, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid Razorback fan, and enjoyed deer hunting and Chet Atkins music. He was also a former assistant golf pro at War Memorial. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Geneva Beck, a daughter, Sandra Beck, a grandson, Joseph Beck and a sister, Mona Hanson. He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Beck Smith of Little Rock, three sons, Donnie Beck of Roland, Dennis Beck of Little Rock and Robert Beck of Roland, a brother, Stanley Beck of Knoxville, Tennessee, a sister, Katsy Beck Sparks of Little Rock, 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his best friend, Bobby Krone. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, July 15th, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th. St. Little Rock (501) 661-9111 with Bro. Heath Clowers officiating.
