Lucille "Lou" Graves, 81, of Little Rock, Ark. was born on July 20, 1928 to the late Forest and Lucy Grant Graves in Moscow, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by siblings: Wilson, Paul, Thavis, Curtis Graves, Alma Graves and Lillian Pembrooke. Lucille accepted Christ at early age and was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church under Rev. Fred T. Guy. She was a high school graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School and was employed with the Marion Hotel and Grady Manor until her retirement. In her past time she enjoyed crossword puzzles and listening to the Gaithers. She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted loving sister, Freddie Graves of Little Rock; her favorite nephew, "Sunshine" Curtis (Peggy) Graves of Little Rock; niece, Corine Smith of North Little Rock; a very dear cousin, Gertrude Johnson of Pine Bluff; special cousins, Tonia Cooper of Little Rock and Teresa Burl of North Little Rock, AR; as well as a host of relatives and friends. A Home going service will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010, 11 a.m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 908 Cross St., LR. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery. Family visitation: Friday, July 16, 2010, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Chester St., LR (501) 372-1305.
