Greg Van Bebber, 85, of Hot Springs, passed away on July 12, 2010. Greg was born July 28, 1924 in Troy, Kansas. He retired from Weyerhauser Company in 1982 as the Arkansas-Oklahoma Regional Vice President in Hot Springs. He was a veteran of World War II serving as a pilot in The Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theatre. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vondell, and their three sons: John and his wife Cathy, of Denison, Texas; Dick and his wife Debbie, of Hot Springs; and David and his wife Sue of Springdale, Arkansas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Gregory, Isaac, Nicholas and his wife Alyssa, Lauren and her husband Lance, Sarah and her husband Shaun, Garrott, Thomas, and Luke; two great-grandchildren Gabe and Kate. Greg was very active in the Hot Springs community including Boy Scouts of America, Ouachita Area Council, The Hot Springs Rotary Club and his beloved St. Luke's Episcopal Church. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 1 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2010. A reception will follow the service in the Parish Hall of the church. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the Ouachita Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Guests may register at www.caruth-hale.com.
