Bernice Adams Johnson

Bernice Adams Johnson, age 94, wife of the late Glenn Johnson of Flippin, Ark., died on July 15, 2010 in Conway, Ark. She was born on Nov. 28, 1915 near Bruno in Marion County, Ark. to John and Myrtle Adams. Her brother, Ewell Adams and her son, Hal Johnson preceded her in death. For 27 years she was a teacher in the Flippin School District. For all of her life she was a member, and for more than 50 years, a pianist at the First Christian Church in Flippin, Ark. She is survived by her daughter, Juanita McCracken of Conway; her daughter-in-law, Patsy Johnson of Flippin; her grandchildren, Dan McCracken of Conway, Jan Kucala of North Little Rock, John McCracken of Conway, Mark Johnson of Cotter, Ark., Michael McCracken of Fayetteville, Jennifer Scharf of Collierville, Tenn.; and ten great-grandchildren. Her family home at the intersection of Highways 412 and 178 is well remembered for its picturesque setting and beautiful flowers. Visitation will be at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Ark., on Sunday, July 18 from 6-8 p.m. Memorial services are at the First Christian Church in Flippin, Ark. on Monday, July 19 at 10:30 a.m.
