Charles David Wallace

Charles David Wallace, age 97, died July 17, 2010. Born Sept. 15, 1912, he was the son of the late Len and Beulah Wallace. He was a member of Gillett First Methodist Church, Gillett Hunting Club, and a farmer. Charles served in the Army Air Corp during World War II, upon his discharge, he returned to his beloved hometown to farm, hunt, fish and garden. Charles is survived by two sisters, Doodle Richter and Elizabeth Hesser; one brother, Justin Wallace and his wife, Betty, all of Gillett; and 21 nieces and nine nephews. Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 19 at Gillett First Methodist Church with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Gillett Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home, Dewitt.
