Melba Jean Talley, 81, of Searcy, died Tuesday, July 20. She was born August 5, 1928 in Pangburn, Arkansas, the daughter of Kenneth and Marie King. She is survived by her husband, Jack Talley; three sons, Barry Talley, Ted Talley and Don McCord; three daughters, Sandra Squires, Shelia Purdy and Jacquelyn Wilkerson; and three brothers, Larry King, Harlan King, and Dale King; 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jimmy and Bill King. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Pangburn Assembly of God church.
