Verle Juanita Acre

Verle Juanita (Stacks) Acre departed this life on her heavenly journey on July 20, 2010. She was 87 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Evans Acre. She is survived by her four children, Margaret Pearson (Jerry), Bob Acre (Margaret), Russell Acre (Anita) and Paul Acre (Donna). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and a host of friends, nieces and nephews. In her final months she told her children that she was ready to go be with the Lord. She fought the good fight, she kept the faith and she finished the course. She knew there was a better "Home" prepared for her and she wanted to go there. She was a founding member of the Greenbrier Church of Christ in 1949. Mother died a happy lady and she often told her children that she had no regrets; that life here on earth had been good to her. We shall see you again one day our dear mother. The family will receive friends at the Greenbrier Church of Christ Saturday, July 24th from 11 to 12:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at the church building at 1 p.m. Burial will be at the Republican Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Southern Christian Home in Morrilton Arkansas or the Children's Home of Paragould. Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
