William "Bill" Frank Wagner, 90, of North Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with his Lord July 21st, 2010. Mr. Wagner was born February 4th, 1920 to Lawrence Avon Wagner and Sadie Dantzler Wagner of High Point, North Carolina. Brother to Lawrence, Harry, Margie, Lib, and Marie. Bill was the loving husband of the late Betty Welch Wagner for 62 years. They traveled extensively together and were accomplished dancers. Mr. Wagner was a loving father to sons, Chip (the late Coleen) Wagner, Stephen (Mary) Wagner, and daughters, Penny (Ed) Wagner Hagerstrom and Lee (Richard) Wagner Bell, a loving grandfather to Tommy, Heather, Stephen, Wesley, Clayton and Jennifer and two great-grandchildren, Tatum and Topanga. Mr. Wagner was the president of Arkansas Face Veneer for 11 years. He was a WWII veteran in the Army Air Corps and flew 44 missions in the South Pacific. He was a B-24 and Glider pilot. He was a pilot in private life as well as an avid golfer and world traveler, he enjoyed horse racing at Oaklawn and was a charter member of the North Hills Country & Golf Club and friend to all members. Mr. Wagner will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. His pleasant personality and kind manner never wavered. He was the Episcopal faith and will be sadly missed by all who knew him- all our love was returned. The family wishes to thank Fox Ridge Assisted Living Community North Little Rock, Arkansas Hospice, and a special thanks to Bertha Crawford. A celebration of Bills life will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 24th, 2010 in the outdoor chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72117 (501) 835-3515. In lieu of flowers a memorial can be made to the Alzheimer's Arkansas, 10411 West Markham Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
