Evelyn Madden

Evelyn Madden, 87, of Searcy died July 1, 2010. She was born Feb. 26, 1923, in Wynne, Ark., to the late Robert and Tessie Belle Faulkner. Mrs. Madden was a member of the First Baptist Church in Searcy. She was a loving mother, grandmother and loved by all who knew her. She is also preceded in death by her husband, A.L. "Son" Madden; and one brother, Robert Faulkner. Left to cherish her memories is her son, Donald Wayne Cox of Loveland Colo., one daughter, Rita Louise Beatty of Jonesboro, Ark.; three sisters, Frances Morat, Oleta Flowers, and Margaret Ann Williams; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday July 27 in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel. In leiu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Searcy.
