Lilla Mae Harrison

Lilla Mae Overton Harrison, 83, Benton, formerly of Tulip, Ark. passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 in a local nursing home. She was born in Tulip, Ark. on July 14, 1927 to William Thomas Overton and Mary Ellen Lawrence Overton. Mrs. Harrison was a retired nurse at the Arkansas State Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Ray, Roy, Dewitt "Dude", Cecil and George Glendee Overton and three sisters, Ione Leath, Opal Overton and Gertrude Huffman. She is survived by a husband, Dale L. Harrison; two sons, Fred E. Rains and wife, Becky of Little Rock, Rodney D. Rains of Anchorage, Alaska, brothers, Preston Haywood "Hayde" Overton and wife, Syblene of Camden, Curtis Overton and wife, Hazel of Fordyce, sisters-in-law, Freda Overton of Malvern, Billie Overton of Malvern, and Jeane Cockrill of Benton. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 26 at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 27 at Tulip Methodist Church with burial at Tulip Cemetery.
