BURL TRAVIS MOORE, 83, of Little Rock passed away on Saturday, July 24th, 2010. He was born on Sept. 4th, 1926, in Belfast, Ark., the son of the late Burleigh D. and Elsie Moore. He retired from the Little Rock Post Office after 38 years of service and made his home in Little Rock. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II. Mr. Moore was a life member of the VFW Post 9095 and served for many years as a member of the post honor guard. Burl was married for over 42 years to the love of his life, Vivian Graves Moore, before she passed away in 2008. Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, Reginald Moore of Little Rock and Robert and Andrea Moore of Conway; two daughters, Stephanie Swan of Avondale, Newfoundland and Cynthia Davis of Dallas, Texas; four granddaughters, Ashley of Little Rock, Emyle and Kelsey of Conway and Rebecca of Dallas; one sister, Carolyn Sue Cathey of Monticello, Ark., and two brothers, Herman Moore of Dunwoody, Ga., and Dr. James Moore of Hot Springs, Ark. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 28th, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark., with Pastor Greg Thompson officiating.
