Grace Caraway Finley died Friday, July 23, 2010 at her home in Batesville. Born in Mount Pleasant, Ark., she was the daughter of Thomas Caraway and Zora Marlin Caraway. Grace was a very strong willed person who traveled a lot as a military wife, and had lived in many different places while her husband was in the military. She loved to go camping, she loved to garden, but most of all, she loved watching her humming birds. She was well known for her famous yeast rolls, she would often drop by area businesses and give them a batch of the rolls for everyone there to enjoy. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Finley of Newark; a brother, Paul Caraway of North Little Rock; a sister, Marie Dover of Batesville; three grandchildren: Autumn Hunter of Batesville, April Lewis of Batesville, and Kyle Hunter of Newark; a step-grandson, Josh Gardner of Newark; two great grandchildren: Alley Lewis and Fallon Lewis both of Batesville; several nieces and nephews; and many very close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Drexel Finley; a son, Rick Finley; three brothers, Frank Caraway, Flino Caraway, and Amos Sipe; and a sister, Jean Sears. Pallbearers are Richard Crock, DEA, Jake Jacobson, DEA, Bill Bryant, DEA, Steve Hampton, David Huddleston, and Josh Garner. Honorary pallbearers are United States DEA Agents, North Little Rock Police Officers, ATO Fraternity, Dr. Robert Slaughter, Mike Norman, Rodney Curry, Randy Johnson, Tommy Caraway, Kelly Lassiter, Jeffery Lassiter, Jerry Brogdon, Boyd Fletcher, and Jerry Bowen. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at 2 p.m., at the Calvary Baptist Church, with Brother Stefan Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow at Finley Creek Cemetery in Sage, Ark. Visitation will be Monday, July 26, 2010, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.
